Accessibility
The web is
for everyone.
Accessibility isn't a plugin or a checkbox. It's how we design, write and build, and something we push for on every project.
Why it matters
Your customers. Your patients. Your people.
More than one in four U.S. adults has a disability. When a site can't be used with a keyboard, a screen reader or a magnifier, those people simply leave.
1 in 4
U.S. adults has a disability, according to the CDC.
95.9%
of the top million home pages have detectable WCAG failures (WebAIM Million, 2026).
3 laws
ADA, Section 504 and the European Accessibility Act now point to WCAG as the bar for public, healthcare and commercial sites.

Who needs it
Especially if you're…
Every organization benefits, but some have firm requirements and deadlines.
- A city, county, school or public agency covered by ADA Title II.
- A healthcare provider that receives federal funding (Section 504).
- A business selling to customers in the European Union.
- Any business open to the public, where ADA Title III claims are common.
- Any organization that simply wants everyone to be able to use its site.
Overlays aren't the answer.
Widgets that promise one-line compliance don't fix the underlying code, and many people who rely on assistive technology find they make sites harder to use. Real accessibility is built in.
Questions
Good questions.
The things people usually ask before we start.
What standard do you test against?
WCAG 2.1 Level AA by default, which is what most current laws reference, and WCAG 2.2 where clients want to go further.
Will an accessibility plugin make us compliant?
No plugin can make an inaccessible site accessible on its own. They can help with some issues, but the fixes have to happen in the design, code and content.
How long does an audit take?
It depends on the size of the site. We'll scope it based on a representative set of pages and templates.
Do you provide legal advice?
No. We're web professionals, not lawyers. We'll help you meet the technical standard; your legal counsel should advise on your specific obligations.
